NP Jen started professional nursing in 2012 as a Registered Nurse (RN) gaining experience in various Emergency Departments of the Greater Toronto Area including The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids).

 

Seeing a need to bridge the growing gap in access to primary care providers a Masters in Nursing as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner - RN(ec) was completed in 2018 and Call the NP!TM was created to contractually provide NP Jen's services as a full scope health care provider in community and urgent care settings, all while working and building expertise in virtual, emergency, geriatrics, women's health, and psychiatric care.

With the increasing need and lack of services for comprehensive wellness in the Halton, Wellington, and Dufferin regions of Ontario, the mission of Call the NP!TM has evolved to offer private virtual health services for general wellness, psychotherapeutics, and women's health to a variety of Canadian provinces including: Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland & Labrador. Virtual services offered are intended for patients without access to a primary care clinic or in part of a collaborative shared care model for patients with existing primary care providers to reduce outside use penalties.

NP Jen also channels a passion for wholistic (biopsychosocial) health to improve ones whole wellness through addressing social determinants, lifestyle interventions, and the innate link between human and nature. Combining this with a deep connection with animals NP Jen offers facilitated animal therapy and eco-wellness services to all populations through the creation of the Holistic Animal Assisted Recreation & Therapy (HAARTTM) program and the HAART Centre for Equine Assisted Wellness. ​

Services offered may be covered by NIHB and Medavie Blue Cross for First Nations, Inuit, and Metis, as well as other private insurance policies and health spending accounts. Clients are responsible for confirming with their provider to see if their plan includes services offered. Payment is always required at time of service booking.
